Available at a range of venues and facilitated by specialist practitioners, rolling programmes will be attended by people who may be at various stages of their quit. Some may be starting out and others may be several weeks into their quit.
Smokers find this is a very good way to share experiences and gain encouragement.
These programmes are offered to those with specific needs by our specialist practitioners and by some accredited GP practices, pharmacies and Health Trainers.
In addition to the support of the programme, specialist practitioners will provide clients with contact details for support outside of formal sessions.
The service offers tailored stop smoking programmes to those planning a pregnancy, those already pregnant and support for those who have recently quit smoking on becoming pregnant.
Help is also available for partners and immediate family of pregnant smokers.
The service offers a number of regular open access sessions. These sessions are intended for you to drop in without an appointment to seek advice and information on quitting or to obtain information on programme availability. Sessions are offered from a range of venues and are designed for people who wish to meet a practitioner and discuss their needs. Please note that these sessions are for general advice and information and are NOT stop smoking programmes.
The service provides the opportunity for successful quitters to obtain advice, information and support to maintain their smokefree status to the one year post quit point.
